Hi, everyone! I know I said I would be posting things other than crochet, but unfortunately, that will not be this post. It’s just chock full of crochet!
I made a couple of Christmas gifts this year. One was a pair of crimson fingerless gloves for a friend.
The other was this adorable Batman amigurumi for another friend. He was made from the Amigurumi Batman pattern from Tales of Twisted Fibers.
And, looking forward to the future, I have finally started on the throw I’ve been wanting to make for myself for over a year now. The foundation row, the yarn I’m using, and the test sample are pictured below.
The throw will look like the text sample (the weird border on the sides that I don’t like excluded), only on a much larger scale. The pattern is Millstone Stitch from Potter and Bloom.
I think y’all are all up-to-date now on everything I’m working on. Hopefully, in my next post, I’ll have something to talk about other than crochet! I am, as always, The Crafting Bunny, and Happy New Year to all my readers!

I actually really love this plus-size winter crochet set and seriously contemplated just keeping it for myself! The color is lovely, and the yarn the set is made from is nice and soft. That means both the hat and the gloves are very warm and snuggly, perfect for the upcoming winter months.
This particular set is sort of a test run, I suppose you could say. I want to try out different patterns for hat and glove sets, especially plus-sized ones. I know that I have both large hands and a large head, so I sometimes struggle to find hats and gloves that fit. I figured I couldn’t be the only one with this problem, so I thought I’d be the change I wanted to see in the world, if you will.

We’re only eleven days out from my second-favorite holiday of the year: Halloween! (Easter is number one, if you were curious.) So I decided to make a master post of all the Halloween stuffed creatures I’ve made this year. Fellow crocheters, the links to the patterns for these cute critters are at the bottom of this post.
Let’s start with the symbol of the season–the pumpkin! These were so much fun to make, and I love the cute little stems at the top. There are a number of pumpkin patterns that have you crocheting them vertically, but these were done horizontally, and I think I prefer them that way.
Next up, we have these precious little ghosts! Do they really count as amigurumi if they’re not actually stuffed? I’m not entirely sure, but we’re going to say they do for the purposes of this post. 😉
But, yes, they are indeed hollow in the middle, which means you can slip them over the top of a battery-powered tea light for a spooky effect!
Finally, we have my personal favorites, the adorable candy corn! I’m not a huge fan of the actual candy, but these stuffed ones are amazing. I love them so much.

Hello, everyone! This is, as always, The Crafting Bunny, and today I’d like to share with you a few crochet bookmarks I’ve made. If you are a fellow crocheter who would like to make these bookmarks yourself, I have included the pattern information at the bottom of this post.
I have always enjoyed reading, for as long as I can remember. One thing I’m not good at, however, is keeping up with bookmarks. I lose them regularly, which leads to me doing one of two things. I either just put the book I’m reading face-down, open to the page I stopped on, which often leads to breaking of the spine, or I just grab whatever piece of stray paper is nearby and use that as a bookmark, which, while it works and doesn’t damage the book like the first option, is not the most elegant solution.
So when I realized I could crochet bookmarks, I was like, “Finally! A bookmark I (maybe) won’t lose!”
I made a few of these for friends and family in the past, and one for myself as well. And I was right–I’ve had my bookmark since February and haven’t lost it yet!
I have plans to make more bookmarks because they’re quick, they’re fairly easy, and they’re fun to make. Plus, you can make the top part be just about anything you want it to be.
I do not have these listed in my Etsy store yet because I don’t have a huge selection of them at the moment. I was just so excited about them that I had to give y’all a sneak peek! Hello, friends, and welcome to The Crafting Bunny site!
I’m so glad you could join me here today as I begin this (hopefully) exciting journey through life and crafting!
As we speak, I, Bunny, have fairish skills in both crochet and embroidery. I am looking to explore amigurumi further and perhaps develop some crochet patterns of my own.
As far as knitting goes, I am a rank beginner, but I thought I could share my foray into knitting with all of you so that you can see the struggles and the triumphs that come with learning any form of crafting. Ditto for cross-stitch, as I’m even less than a rank beginner with that!
I am not a quick crafter, so bear with me as I update this blog. While you wait for me to post, I highly suggest you checking out my Friends page, where you can see the sites of some of my dear friends. I recommend them highly!
